Just like the topic states, post up your known kid friendly camp sites…I know there are a bunch of us kid-luggers around here.
Cress Creek - Take a left at the T intersection right past the bridge on the way to Heise rather than a right, and follow the road for about a mile. There is a trail on the right side of the road (labeled I believe) that is right around a mile or so long. It is a bit of a long walk, but it's some pretty country.

What features describe “kid friendly”? Great topic, btw.

We went to Warm River Campground just outside of Ashton and it was great. It's only an hour drive from Idaho Falls.

How close to Idaho Falls do you want to stay? Is Palisades too far away to suggest?

Upper Palisades Lakes:
We've taken our kids on this hike and they had a blast. Take lots of water and plan for the whole day to the lower lake and back with them. I can't remember the mileage but I think it's a couple miles to the lower one and about six miles to the upper. Our kids were about 7 & 9 when we went. You can tent or trailer camp at the campground, get up, have breakfast and go hiking the next day! You could also do a full pack trip with older kids and pack tents all the way in and go to the upper lake… Here's a map I made…

We'll be moving to Idaho Falls just before Christmas. Any ideas on hiking trails (for when there's no snow) in (as opposed to around)Idaho Falls? I already know about the Greenbelt. It doesn't have to be special, just a place to walk the dog & kids. Thanks!

The best one for kids, and the closest is the Cress Creek Trail. I've taken many cles up there for field trips and it's pretty close to Idaho Falls, maybe 30 minutes or so away, near Ririe Idaho. Let me know if you need more info.
