Marcus : It's really the taking that I have a problem with. I hate taking, and assume that other Americans do too. Guess I'm wrong. Keep on taking folks, enjoy ;).
Marcus : Giving of my own accord is alright - I will (and do) give when I can afford it. Federally mandate my giving though, and I'll tell you where to stick it, even if I have the funding to give. Nothing wrong with giving.

Guest_2486 : Not to open this discussion back up or anything, but if you think about it, the needy already get free healthcare. Whenever somebody goes to the hospital who doesn't have insurance or can't afford it, they're treated anyways. (unless it's a private hospital) And those of us that have insurance end up footing the bill through higher premiums. So you're welcome, I do what I can.

Guest_2389 : I agree. Those of us who are not hurting financially are in a position where it wouldn't hurt to donate, say to the food bank cause especially.
Guest_3013 : Please do what you can to give to those less fortunate a nice this holiday season. Most of us can afford a couple of canned goods or at least a couple of bucks to help those who can't afford a nice Thanksgiving dinner this year. Thank you all!
