What Restaurants Do You Want?

by Guest Writer February 26, 2009

Is it just me, or do we have a major lack of diversity when it comes to restaurants in Idaho Falls?
There has been a boom of recent shops going up in the past few years: TGI Fridays, The Baijo, etc. but they all seem to be “me too” chains that bring little or no new [...]

by Guest Writer January 9, 2009

I’m an on the go breakfast kind of guy. I want something hot but don’t usually have the time to cook and clean up anything decent for breakfast. That leaves cold cereal or fast food breakfast and fast food usually wins. So I have had just about every kind of fast food [...]

Dish Network Drops KIDK Channel 3, Attempts Strong-Arm Tactics

by Guest Writer January 3, 2009

If I remember correctly, one of the selling points of Dish Network in the past was that you would have access to all the local channels through Dish. Well, that’s not the case any more.
I was at a friends house the other day clicking through channels on their Dish Network when I noticed that [...]

How Much Is The Media Effecting the Economy?

by Guest Writer November 20, 2008

From Alice:
Do you think that the media and it’s constant doom-mongering is the main reason that spending is down and retailers are wary?
Do you think that if the media painted a better picture that more people may be more inclined to spend a bit more and the economy would fix itself?

Riot Zone – The Fun’s A Little Deflated This Year

by Guest Writer August 27, 2008

The Riot Zone has been a great attempt to make Southeast Idaho a little more “fun”. I was excited to see a fun center being built, though I thought their location was way off track (pick either Rexburg or Idaho Falls and cater to one market well – either would have been better than [...]

Taylor’s Toll Bridge in Idaho Falls – What’s Underneath?

by Guest Writer August 26, 2008

We’re new-ish to the area, and stopped by the Green Belt / Riverside area for the first time today.  We followed some trails and ended up under the Taylor’s Toll Bridge.  There were all of these funny little rock water paths ending (?) in a circular, shallow pool, and then long channel things beyond that.
I’m [...]

City of Idaho Falls Needs Better Communication With Residents

by Guest Writer August 22, 2008

We live in a great area, with hard working generally courteous people, and beautiful scenery. We have elected officials who likely work hard for us day in and day out (at least we hope). But I often wonder what is really going on in the area.
What are the city officials working on [...]

by Guest Writer August 20, 2008

Microserv has been around for a long time. I remember signing up with Microserv (back then it was called ida.net) many years ago. They were one of the first (if not the first) to offer local dial-up access here in Southeast Idaho. Since then they have continued provide dial-up, DSL and wireless [...]
