The second annual Nauvoo West Women’s Retreat, inspired by the women’s retreat held each March in Nauvoo, Ill., will be held at the new Springhill Suites Marriott in Rexburg, Idaho, on March 25-26, 2010.
Proceeds to Help Disabled Stroke Survivors
The retreat is sponsored by The Monte Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for disabled stroke survivors. Proceeds from the retreat will go to the foundation. Beverly Kingsford, chair of the foundation, is also the retreat organizer. “My goal in this is to give women a delightful, two-day experience that will leave them feeling peaceful and empowered in their individual circumstances, while also furthering the mission of the Monte Foundation.” Kingsford created the foundation after her father suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke in 2006 leaving his left side paralyzed.
