In this difficult economy many people are taking selling their home into their own hands. Instead of using the standard “For sale by Owner” sign in the yard, one Idaho couple has turned to the internet to get the word out.
By using popular sites like Facebook, Twitter, Craig’s List and building a website dedicated to a tour of the house (www.housewiththereddoor.com), Angel and Aaron Peterson hope to have a leg up on the competition.
Aaron Peterson recently accepted a job out of state and with the market being depressed thinking outside the box is necessary. “We’ve created a Fan page on Facebook and encouraged all our friends to join. In addition we’re on twitter and have a blog. We’ve also created a video tour of the house at www.housewiththereddoor.com and included information and photographs.” said Angel Peterson, “We’re hoping that the exposure on the internet will help us sell the house faster.”

What a great idea. Love your website. I wish you luck!
Gotta move with the times, I think these are great ideas. Best of luck!
Great idea but their asking too much for this townhouse, especially in this economy. You could have a brand new home build on your own lot, not connected to another house for that price.
Have to give them props for trying though.
Actually if you check the comparables – it’s reasonably priced for Ammon… I’m no realtor but it’s comparable to Snake River MLS. Best of Luck guys!
I’ve never understood the appeal to Ammon and why there real estate is so much more expensive. While there are some nice areas, there are also a lot of dumpy houses/neighborhoods in Ammon. I much prefer IF.
