Maybe it’s just me but I seemed to have a “I WILL BUY WHAT EVER CRAP YOU ARE SELLING ON THE STREET” sign above my family this year. Did anyone else feel this way?
I love nothing more than to pack my lawn chairs up and go find me a great spot to watch the parade and the fireworks in Idaho Falls. This year we got a great spot on blvd and it seemed that every person that needed to hawk their product came and hit me up. I am sure the nice boy trying to sell me illegal fireworks on the side of the road had some kind of special permit to sell explosives to the public and the nice women on the river asking me to “take a survey” then asked me to make a donation to send makeup to our combat women in Iraq had a great idea ….lol. My all time favorite was the elderly couple (in their 60’s …lol) that came with me were shocked by the assisted living place in town and given water and pamplets while my hot butt was sweating in my lawn chair. They had the best answer when the gave the water and pamphlets back to the nice man “we have plenty of bottled water in the side bags of our Harley’s “…
Sorry for the terrible grammar and spelling, I am in Wyoming a lot and it seems to be rubbing off.
Peace and chicken grease
God bless

I think the street vendors are part of the fun and should be expected to some degree. Yes, they can sometimes come across as rude, but that is only a small few in my experience.
I do like the elderly couple’s response to the nursing home folks. I would’ve like to had seen their reaction.
Thanks for sharing.
I didn’t have your experience. In fact, I was offered more free items including cold water and ice cream with no intent to sell me anything.
