Sheriff Obama…

by ferg July 28, 2009

I’ve often heard it said, “The proper role of government is to provide equal rights, not equal things” That said, why then does President Obama feel that he as the right to intervene on a matter involving one of his friends, just because he has legal experience?

Tuesday night Concert on the Greenbelt

by capt_kirk50 July 24, 2009

Thanks to the Henry Fork Pipes and drum for the great concert. However I thought it was insulting to the sponsors when they passed around the drum for donations. What are your thoughts?

Is it time for once prominent local politician Blake Hall to step aside?

by The Gadsden July 22, 2009

I know that when I first moved to Idaho Falls, Blake Hall was a name that was well respected, and is some circles well feared. However, I never quite understood why. I have met the man a few times and to be honest was never very impressed.

Health Care and Being Insured – The True Demons Behind High Medical Costs

by Guest Writer July 17, 2009

Submitted by:  “Jeremy”
We’re all up in arms about the high cost of health care. And we should be. The last time I went to the doctor for a sniffle, I had to wait 45 minutes in a waiting room, told the doctor what I had and what medication I thought I should receive, [...]

What think ye of socialized medicine?

by Neal Larson July 16, 2009

It’s my JOB to keep track of national issues and talk about them, and I’ll be the first to admit confusion over all the talk about where health care is headed. Universal health care, nationalized health care, socialized medicine. There are numerous different ideas on the table, and it’s a dizzying exercise to try and [...]

Why does the media persist in honoring Michael Jackson?

by The Gadsden July 13, 2009

I do not know about you, but I am absolutely tired and concerned about the media’s coverage and love affair with Michael Jackson. We are nearing the month anniversary of Jackson’s death and the media has refused to let him die. Is there not anything better to cover? Is there not actual news happening elsewhere [...]

Sarah Palin’s exit… or entrance?

by Neal Larson July 6, 2009

[Originally posted at www.larsonshow.com]
Everyone seems to be speculating about Sarah Palin’s decision to step down as Alaska’s Governor.
I’m a Sarah Palin fan. I’m a fan because she gives normal folk an opportunity to support someone just like them. Regardless of whether she’s qualified to be the President or the Vice President, she’s a normal human [...]

by The Gadsden July 1, 2009

On the way to work yesterday, I heard an interesting debate on the radio. The debate was over whether people should be allowed to save or reserve spaces along the green belt in preparation for the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration this Saturday.
We’ve all seen it, whether it is for a parade or the fireworks display, [...]
