The Taliban in Pakistan

The Taliban is taking over Pakistan and looking to gain control over the capital.  President Obama is deeply concerned about the situation. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090506/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_us_pakistan

As we all know Pakistan has nuclear weapons and God help us all if the Taliban takes over that country’s nuclear arsenal.  This is going to be a huge test for the Obama administration.  Personally, I don’t think we can sit idly by and allow these terrorists to gain access to Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.  Do you think Obama will do the right thing here and send troops to help out Pakistan?  Do you think it’s our fight or do you feel we should stay out of it?  Clearly Pakistan’s government is shaky and their military is less than effective against the Taliban.

What do you think?

Honestly. I am not sure what think. It doesn’t seem as if this is getting enough news coverage. It’s a major concern and I doubt that we are going to get involved in the near future.
