Kaly Shippen will be holding charity basketball clinics at Skyline High School on Saturday, October 4th to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  The sessions will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 for grades K-2, from 12:30 to 1:30 for grades 3-5, and from 4:30 to 5:30 for grades 6-8.  Participants will learn dribbling and shooting drills they can use to improve their skills from Kaly and local high school players.  Kaly played college basketball and enjoys teaching the fundamentals of the game to young players.

The cost is just $5 in advance, or $10 at the door.  Participants may register by visiting www.idahobasketball.net and following the link to donate directly to JDRF. Kaly may also be contacted at 208.528.7814 or coach@idahohoops.net with questions.

The charity clinics are being sponsored by Skyline High School Basketball, NAI Commerce One, and Snake River Landing.  All proceeds will go to JDRF.

About JDRF

JDRF was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with type 1 diabetes - a disease that strikes children, adolescents, and adults suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. JDRF’s mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
