Oh, yeah...Scott...my husband and son looked at your sign and asked each other, "What are fried GreGs"?

OREOS, my daughter corrected them...so my husband took a picture of the sign because it was so funny.

His coworker says your fried Milky Ways are to die for...since I'm not a fan of candy (or chocolate) I will have to try your other fare.

Hi,
I make "the famous fried Twinkies and fried Snickers bar death wish" you talk about and we are still here, selling them along with fried Milky Ways, Oreos and coming soon, fried Cookie Dough. Although I have to agree with you that they are not the healthiest choice at the fair, they are delicious and we sell a ton of them. So, for an alternative to the Tiger Ears come to the Yan Kee Kan Kook booth (better known for their Ham Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken and Philly Steak Sandwiches). Happy Fairing.

I've always known them as "elephant ears" too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fried_dough
Guess the folks around here just wanted to be different and call them "tiger ears". They sure are delicious whatever you want to call them!

I look forward to seeing Poison this year and having a tasty "tiger" ear. I thought it odd when I moved up here and found out they call elephant ears tiger ears at the fair here. Where I grew up they were always called elephant ears because their so big. If you think about it tiger ears are kinda small. But regardless of the name, I look forward to enjoying one of these tasty treats. I also look forward to the demolition derby.
Have fun everyone!

This is going to be a great festival it seems like with many activities. It seems this will be a lot of fun. Like a rollercoaster this festival will be a ride to member it seems. As Confuscious says "He who lies down can't get up". Your community will have much fun getting together. It is like a village getting together with another putting it on. We did this in my country and continue to do it as it is a part of history.

My good friend, Jerry Hong, is the Grand Marshall of this year's fair...el Jefe Grande, the Head Honcho, the Big Cheese. There's an interesting article about him in Idaho Falls Magazine. http://www.idahofallsmagazine.com:80/news/display.cfm?ID=1705

The guy is an American success story and a real asset to our community and state.

Now, if he could just learn how to use the cruise control in his car when he's on the open road...
