Go To Work Senator Craig

It’s bad enough Idahoans are suffering for Senator Larry Craig’s restroom circus. Regardless of whether you believe Craig is guilty or railroaded, I think everyone can agree that if Craig is collecting our senatorial paychecks, he should be doing our senatorial work.
In Craig’s latest act of self-interest, he has refused to go to work! The United States Congress has reconvened, and Craig has not shown up to work. He has not given a reason, but it does not take a genius to know he is embarrassed to face his colleagues. Craig should not make his shame become Idaho’s congressional detriment.
Craig has been issuing press release statements from his Boise office, acting as though he is working. As far as I understand it, congressional work is not something that can be done through telecommuting. He cannot vote unless he is physically there.
What would you do with an employee who gave his resignation notice, then refused to show up for work during the entire period from when notice was given until resignation became effective? How would we react if a governor announced their resignation, then spent the entire remaining time in the Bahamas?
Senator Craig: go to work or quit now. His personal ethics are already in the toilet. His professional work ethics are chasing them.

I read he’s already missed something like 26 votes so far. He needs to get back to work or do something about all he’s missing. Last week a friend of mine went through the same airport Craig was arrested in, and found it awkward to use the bathroom b/c so many poeple were standing outside taking pictures of the entrance. LOL!!
He needs to get his toe-tapping keister back to work, or his replacement needs to be appointed to take his seat. (In Congress, not on the crapper.)
Why is our Governor allowing our state to go on with no representation in the Senate? What clearer statement could you possibly send to the people who voted your slimy hide into office, than to let our voice in the Senate to fall silent?
They both need to be driven to the state line—somewhere near bear country—and banished.
Craigo FINALLY got back to work
from cnn
Barrett: “What brings you back to the Capitol today?”
Craig: “Go to work.”
Barrett: “Are you intending to vote today, sir?”
Craig: “That’s my plan.”
Barrett: “Why decide to come back today?”
Craig: “Because I’m a serving United States Senator from Idaho.”
they also said Sen. Lindsey Graham was visibly surprised to see Craig.
someone finally talked some sense into craigo

First off, let me say that I am not condoning Senator Craig for not going to work, but hasn’t he been removed from all the “committees” he was on? The feeling seems to be that he could not (or should not) have a voice in anything that was going on.
I have really mixed feelings about this, but I also have to wonder who among us could walk back into our workplace and face the scorn and contempt of our peers? Clinton did it after his impeachment, and I am sure there are many others who did also. I’m just not sure that Craig is a strong enough person to be able to do so.
Has Craig officially resigned? He says he “intends” to resign, but I don’t think it has happened for real yet has it? I have never voted for Craig, so obviously I was not and am not now a fan of his, but I think the “Court of Public Opinion” have made their feelings well known on this. But, I do feel that if he was going back to work, and if his attempts to get his guilty plea overturned are successful, the public would look more favorably on him.
With all my flip-flopping, it is hard to tell where I stand on this issue. But that’s the way I feel about this. I just don’t know — as I stated, I have really mixed feelings. But I don’t think he should continue drawing a salary.
