Melaleuca, Inc. announced today that they had purchased the naming rights to the entire city of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Rumors were rampant for weeks that Melaleuca CEO Frank Vandersloot was about to ink a deal with the Idaho Falls mayor and city council. Many locals figured the move was inevitable, due to Frank being the four-hundred-something-th richest American and that he already owns the city ballpark, the city fireworks, several local media outlets, and a healthy percentage of the local labor force.

Many sat down to write their Letter to the Editor upon hearing the news.

The first noticeable changes were “Property of Melaleuca, Inc.” metal tags being attached to city entrance signs.

Speculation is rampant as to the exact new name, but most people expect it to be Melaleuca Rises, Idaho.

Joe

Is this tongue in cheek humor or did “Big Frank” actually get naming rights for Idaho Falls? Is this valid for MLM Industry circulation? Sounds almost funny… almost?

For all the friends we get to move here, we will get $25 and for all their friends we will get $15, and so on and so on.

Except we have to purchase a minimum amount of bonds each month, or we get a ‘backup bond order’, but we were probably going to invest in something anyways.

I’m considering putting my naming rights up to big, with an initial investment of $25K and options to reinstate the endorsement every five years.

Hello, I’m Arby’s Fiesta Ole, how are you today?

An MLM website with forums thought this was real, and I’ve had several people using the ‘Email this article to a friend’ feature with messages indicating they thought this article was real.

This article was published on April Fool’s Day, and was a joke.

Breath.

Sometimes the funniest jokes are the ones that you actually could see happening which is the case here.

Does this mean I’m going to be working for Melaleuca National Lab soon?

We could rename East Idaho:

“The People’s Greater East Idaho Melaleuca Cooperative”.
