When you register at IdahoFallz.com or any site powered by WordPress, you are emailed a password the system generates. If you ever lose your password, it can also generate a new password for you.

These are not the prettiest passwords nor the easiest to remember. Here is how you can change your password in a simple step.

Screenshot of Wordpress password updateLogin as normal, and click on “Users” then “Your Profile” (located at the page top). You will notice an “Update Your Password” area in the lower right. Simply enter your new password twice in the appropriate boxes, and hit the “Update Profile” button.

You should still use a secure password involving at least one capital letter and a number, but this way you can make your password a little more memorable than what the system generates.

And if you can login easier you might be more likely to try your hand at writing your own article, right?

This seemed an appropriate place to mention that I moved your cheese.

I moved the ‘Register’ and ‘Login’ links from the top above the IFz logo, to near the top of the left column, just under the “Published Writers” header. It seemed to fit there logically, though I know many have not seen it.

So there you go. It is still the same process to change your password as described in this article.
