Attorney General’s Race: Wallace vs. Wasden

I wanted to start a discussion thread of Idaho’s candidates for our Attorney General. The two contenders are Lawrence Wasden and Robert Wallace.
You can talk about most anything regarding these two you would like. I would personally like to see discussion of their past experience, training, accomplishments, and mistakes rather than what their party philosophies are.
Wasden’s campaign site is http://www.lawrencewasden.com/, and his wikipedia entry is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Wasden.
Wallace’s campaign site is http://www.winwithwallace.org/, and it appears he does not have a wikipedia entry yet.
I notice incumbent Lawrence Wasden earned his law degree from the University of Idaho, which I’ve noticed is a trait of many Idaho leaders. Some may recall Wasden’s office was responsible for the ProtecTeens CD published this year that was at least a good attempt to educated parents to online dangers.
Some may also recall Wasden’s office is viewed to have bungled the Kimball Mason case earlier this year.
Discuss away education or experience that you deem important, or their statements or mistakes you deem important.

I feel that an article re-printed at Idaho Public Television’s site lays this out well. Wasden is a person that follows the professional responsibility of the office. While I think that Wallace would hold that also, he feels he has to be an “advocate” in the position- which is not in my opinion what the state’s top legal advisor does. They generally offer legal consultation to the legislature (yes, this bill holds constitutional weight, no this bill doesn’t) etc.
This is one instance where I broke from what I generally hold true, and voted to retain the incumbent, Lawrence Wasden.
