A Night for the Invisible Children
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the newsletter or RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
What began as a trip through war-torn regions of Africa has become a national movement, and now that movement is coming to Idaho Falls.
Invisible Children chronicles the travels and experiences of three college-age men as they discover the unbelievable, heartbreaking truth about the children of Uganda. Stolen from their beds, forced into armies, forced to watch their friends murdered, forced to take up arms against their own country, the children of Uganda need our help. They are only invisible if they remain unseen, and this is where you come in.
On September 1, at 7:00, you can discover the unseen at Ziel Company. We will be hosting a special screening of the film and are proud to present Lystra’s Silence and Jeff Anderson as musical guests. There will also be a merchandise booth available for Invisible Children, where you can purchase the film, t-shirts, and bracelets made by former child soldiers (all proceeds will be going to help feed, clothe, and protect the children of Uganda.)
Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Due to unprecedented local support and press coverage, we expect to sell out quickly, so come early or buy your tickets in advance. Ticket outlets include The Defining Line Salon on A Street, Ziel Co. on Shoup, and Shilo Foursquare Church on Holmes. There will also be a raffle, and items range from gift to certificates to local businesses to one-of-a-kind art by local artists.
This is a family-friendly event, featuring uplifting music by some of the best local musicians and bands. There will be very limited seating, and if you have special needs, please let someone in charge know.

Ok4Now - The merchandise is in town if you want to arrange a special purchase. It’s $20 for every item. The DVD comes with an extra copy to give to your friends, and I’m not sure which t-shirt designs we have in. I’ll have to check.
Anyway, I could always meet up with you at the Villa or something to make the exchange. Come alone. No coppers or the girl gets it.
Jeremy,
Thanks for the info. I have to be gone during that time for a while. Will merchandise be accessible via the net? It’s ok if it isn’t, but I’m just wondering if more could be sold that way.
The prices seem very reasonable, given the purpose.
Just one other question, what friends? Am I suppose to have “real friends” and not “e-friends” as you have labeled all of us? BTW - I like that term and have borrowed it.
I wish you and those working with you for this cause the very best. Sometimes, we get so caught up thinking how our own lives suck in certain areas and need reminded of what real hardship is.
It’s good to have you back here.

Jeremy, This is really great. I’m proud of your work on behalf of these children.
I cannot be there, but I was wondering if any of the items you’re selling would be accessible any other way except to buy them in person?
Good luck with the night. I’m sure it will be a night to be remembered!
