Free Business Directory Listings

We are publishing a free local business directory as a free service to the Idaho Falls business community.

We hate most “business directories” because it’s only a list of who paid. We want IdahoFallz.com to become the absolute best city-based business directory, with more information than even the phone book has.

IdahoFallz.com users will know they have the best contact information on Idaho Falls businesses at any time of day or night, and Idaho Falls businesses will know they are giving their best contact information to local customers. Win, win. Non-zero sum. Not everyone is greedy.

Additionally, we will promote freely-listed businesses individually on all pages via a sidebar random script. This means we promote Idaho Falls businesses freely across the entire site, not just on the directory page.

We do not charge for this, and only require that businesses be physically located within Idaho Falls city limits. (Ya don’t pay our municipal taxes ya don’t get the benefit, sorry.) Since service is free, please understand reasonable wait periods until your information is posted.

Feel free to submit your business’ listing information via comment link below, by emailing us at idahofallz@yahoo.com, or using our contact form.

Please use with the subject heading: Free business listing for Idaho Falls business at IdahoFallz.com, with your information:

  • Business name
  • Specialties (maximum 4)
  • Phone/fax numbers (maximum 3)
  • Hours of operation (include summer and winter if different)
  • Website address (max 1 ) / email address (max 1, only if you have no business website)
  • If you want to promote your business more prominently to IdahoFallz.com visitors, please check out our advertising options.

UPDATE: Offer shut down.

I thought I’d bring this up again with the increase in visitors.

We host free Idaho Falls business listings.

FREE. There’s no catch. There’s no trial period, no bill that comes later, no invoices for unrelated junk. FREE.

Your business is in Idaho Falls? Why haven’t you sent us your information?

Obviously with a website focused on a specific city, most of our viewers live in or shop in the city.

So send us your business information and we’ll post it for all to see.

Call it a gift to the business community.

Hey Joe how does one view this directory? Have mentioned it to some locals. Maybe I have not seen the link. I think its a great idea because it costs way more than any small business can really afford to get their name in the Yellows and such.

Thanks for asking that, I suppose I need to make it more prominent.

It’s in the upper left corner labeled: FREE Business Directory and it’s link is http://www.idahofallz.com/business-directory

As you can see, word is slow to get out.

To me, the link in the upper left looks like a link to click if you want to add your store to the directory, but I don’t know if I’d think to click it to view the directory. Maybe a link included in the blue line above with “most popular pictures” and “most popular articles” or somewhere by there? Just a thought…

Great point, Julie, I appreciate your viewpoint. I get tunnel vision from being on the inside here and miss things like that sometimes.

So it is written so it is done. Better?

I was reviewing the site layout for upcoming changes, and it was like I have not seen the ‘business directory’ stuff for awhile.

Hardly any businesses emailed to be listed, so obviously that ‘best directory around’ idea failed, plus I think it became background noise.

I eliminated the sidebar listing, the page listing and all links in that business directory category.

Easy come, easy go. A little bit cleaner website results.
