Spotlight Idaho Falls Real Estate Market with Local Flip Show

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the newsletter or RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I think someone should produce a local show like the nationally syndicated “Flip this house”, “Flip that house”, etc. A small group could film local flippers (individuals and companies) that buy run-down houses, renovate them, then sell them for profit.

A show like this would highlight some of the great things happening in the local Idaho Falls market, and I also see it as a boon for our local contractors. We could see which contractor’s are doing awesome work on the renovation show, then because it’s locally produced anyone can call and see if those contractors would do similar work at their homes.

Finally, it’s one thing to see how someone in Los Angeles would renovate a home, and quite different to see how homes are being renovated in our colder-climate area. This show could inspire thousands of local renovation projects, which helps our entire community.

Producing television shows are easier said than done, and often start out from small production companies rather than news stations. This idea could be tested with short five or ten minute short videos released on the web at youtube.com or google video. If you try this and release it on one of these sites, let me know and I’ll link to it from IdahoFallz.com

I would be happy to get something started on this, with even just small videos, pictures, and stories reported on IdahoFallz.com. Contact me if you want your renovation efforts to be spotlighted.

I think a show about flipping houses would be cool, I inspect homes and see really
bad conditions all the time, it would be nice to see them fixed up after the
initial inspection.

This is in response to the home inspector. I have recently relocated to the Idaho Falls market and have been in involved with flipping homes in Houston and Salt Lake City. I am looking to get into the market here and am looking for a good home inspector that knows the area and also can give me leads to potential flips. Please let me know if you would be interested.

As far as being on TV, I am not sure if I am your guy but maybe :) I would be fine with starting the process on posting some articles and going from there, let me know what you think.
