Porn industry lured to Idaho Falls

Idaho’s efforts to lure film makers to the gem state have started bearing fruit with several pornography video production companies setting up offices around the Idaho Falls area. One pornographer described the Idaho Falls area as a perfect location for the skin industry, citing Idaho’s new film making tax credits, plenty of healthy beautiful girls, and the lack of well paying jobs in all eastern Idaho.

“The combination of higher education not being supported very well and the resulting lack of many local 18-year olds going into higher education means we have several well-endowed candidates for casting in pornographic movies,” stated an industry insider who wished to remain anonymous. “I mean, isn’t this the town that sold land reserved for Eastern Idaho Technical College campus expansion so a super Wal-Mart could be built? What did they expect to happen?”

Plans are underway for several small studios to begin filming adult films in east Idaho, with Idaho Falls seen as the hub of video editing and distribution due to widespread broadband access. Many also expressed hope for an adult theater and a 900# call center to be built in Idaho Falls, also.

The same industry insider was quoted as saying, “Idaho Falls has focused their economy on service and call centers, so filming pornographic movies and talking sexy to 900# customers should dovetail nicely with the workforce’s developed skill set.”

ckdxtrhaven, are you looking for employment. we can always start a local company.

It’s a tough jub, but somebody’s got to do ‘em.

Seriously, I can’t quite believe this article slipped through the cracks. Especially in light of the slam about selling the campus space to Wally. Actually, the porn industry’s insatiable appetite for new blood has preyed on the innocence of small towns and the proiscuity of the Metropolis for a long time. But in print, it might be published on the opposite side of the world. Online, you may be getting too much information about your neighbor or sister sooner than later. I not really weighing in as to whether this trend might be good or bad, There’s money to be had and no good wages elsewhere her, and moral decay to wash it down with.
The bottom line is education and jobs. blah blah blah…

Great! I missed this one before. Good points, very well thought out.

A+!

mmm are they hiring a photographer??? and video man? lol sounds like a good job lol

I really think this will affect Idaho falls in a bad way. We will have hookers all over the place. easy money for young girls to buy drugs with. so more drug use. then the negative impact the adult industry could have on sceinic idaho falls. XXX signs all over town. Then not to mention the riff raff this would attract to our town. I hope this gets shut down fast. SAY NO TO LOCAL PORN IN IDAHO FALLS!!!!!!
man this could be really catastrophic to Idaho falls. could really mess it up bad.
