Rumor has it the Riot Zone has plans to develop an amusement complex that will eventually be larger than even Utah’s Lagoon.

Bigger than Lagoon? Is that even possible? 6th graders all over the valley can’t wait for field trip day!

I think that would be awesome. Idaho Falls needs something like that.

If this happened, I believe it would be a long process, but the Idaho Falls area definately has the potential to draw in crowds big enough to support a seasonal venture of this size.

What I would really like to see would be a water park along the lines of a Raging Waters. I would also like to see an outdoor ampitheatre big enough to hold some decent concerts, only I think it would need to be situated in a secluded area, much like The Gorge ampitheatre in Washington state.

I think the Blacktail reservoir area would be a perfect location for an amphitheater.

Natural valley, sunken area, close to Idaho Falls, loud noise without bothering anyone.

“Blacktail Ampitheater” built right into one of the valleys would be nice.

I think the best place for it would be the valley just over the first hill that is next to the parking lot. I mean when you are driving down the hill towards the entry station and parking lot, if you look up and that first hill there, just over that is a good sized-valley that is away from the water.

I used to free-hand rock climb all over that little valley back there.
