Light up Water Tower and Bridges

Idaho Falls should string Christmas lights up the big water tower that is near the library. Doing so would make it much more interesting and festive. The water tower is one of our tallest structures, part of our (albeit limited) skyline, and lights up and down the legs and around the holding tank would be well worth the investment.

Idaho Falls should also string Christmas lights along our three bridges. This would acknowledge the importance of our bridges, and the reflected lights in the river would make our town much more festive. The city already lights our greenbelt up nicely, but these suggestions would make it that much nicer.

I liked this article last year and I wanted to make sure some who hadn’t seen had the opportunity this year.

What do you think of this idea?

I think about it each night when I go over the Broadway bridge and see the nice lights around the Taylor bridge.

I think it would be awesome to run some lights up the tower legs and around one or two levels of the tower. Maybe even a big wreath of lights could be hung up there.

I think it would be the talk of the town if the city did that.

It certainly could add a new dimension to things to see. Especally now with T.C. talking about NOT building the 13 story Marriott Residenc Inn; instead building 2 smaller buildings.

I can’t remember in Anheuser=Busch and Group Moldano put any lights on or not.

Here in Redmond they string garland with lights along our bridges. It really makes it feel festive. They should try that there. I will be there in 6 more days! Yeah!

A big huge lighted wreath would look nice, hung from that top railing where workers can walk around. Hang it on the side that faces Broadway, and it would be nice to see at night and in the day.
