Holiday Art Sale Lacked Holiday Art

I took my little boy out to last weekend’s “Holiday Art Sale” at the Eagle Rock Art Museum. Perhaps I am simple, but from the name I expected to see some holiday-themed art, which is why I took a youngster. There was a gorgeous Christmas tree in the lobby, but all of the art was traditional (horses and barns).

I am glad the artists had an opportunity to sell their creations, but I imagine there were several disappointed visitors like myself who expected something else. Perhaps next year the museum will restrict artists to displaying mostly holiday-themed art for a “Holiday Art Sale”?
